$60L Weekends - Sweet rose baskets

I seem to be having quite a huge problem this week. Violet has put out two absolutely fantastic products out for you this week, each for only 60L, but no matter how hard I try, I simply can't figure out how to fill this post with the oodles of innuendo and double-entendre that I usually do. Nope, Violet is simply offering a couple very beautiful, very classic and classy items, in the usual amazing quality that we've all come to expect from Rehatched.

Eww.

Check out this Sweetest Rose Summer Play dress, for example. It's a very simple, yet classically beautiful design that would be perfect for just about any situation that you can think of. Well, except that it maybe wouldn't be considered appropriate at your friendly neighbourhood demon neko industrial metal club. Just sayin.

Two skirt lengths come with this dress, as well as the straw hat - I saw Violet wearing this the other day, and I can tell you, it looks even more beautiful in person!

Then there's the textures, that Rehatched is so famous for.

This week it's following the theme started with the floppy hat that comes with the summer dress.

"Straw hats" comes with 32 textures in all. 12 bright ones, 12 muted ones (I think that means that they're not as bright as the bright ones, not that the textures were stalking you in SL until you finally agreed to go out with them once but then you found out that they were 52 years old, unemployed and still living with their mother and who's hobbies include plucking the wings off houseflies). Oh, and 8 of them have this really cool design on the side as well.

All in all, another exquisite set of offers from Rehatched this weekend that you're sure to love - again, unless you're a demonic 52 year old neko still living with your mother. It all starts Friday, from 8 pm SL time, all the way to midnight on Sunday!

See you there!

$60L Weekends - It's raining candy and lollipops!

Yes, boys and girls (or would "girls and boys" be considered more politically correct?), it's that time of week again, and I think I might have sugar on the brain. Just so you know.

This week Rehatched is bringing us some sweet, sweet yumminess, in the form of two new texture packs that simply make me go, "oooooooh!"

First up is this beautiful Candy Rain, and I have to say, I'm completely wild about it. Violet says it's perfect for summer gowns and more - I'm going for "more", since I've already planned on making an entire line of Candy Rain furniture. Seriously, I love stripes, and these are so deliciously complex and... and just plain beautiful, that I would really be a ninny if I didn't use them! Twenty-four (yes, 24) textures for you in this package...that's 2.5 linden per texture! Trust me, Candy Rain is worth much, much more!

Then come my lollipops. Ok, I know they're not lollipops, but when I got the pic for this week's $60L submission, it was just barely 6 am and my eyes weren't exactly open. Maybe I should have had breakfast before logging on Second Life, who knows?

In any case, the fabric is very colourful, very fun, and just puts a smile on your face - and there are eighteen colours to choose from! Violet showed me a skirt she made with it this morning, and it's even better when it's all flowy and stuff.

So stop by Rehatched this weekend, and please, for the love of Buddah, bring me a lollipop. All this candy has made me hungry!

Friday 8pm all the way through Sunday at midnight - at Rehatched!

$60L Weekends: Dirty Minds & Genetic Mutations!

Seriously, I can't take it anymore. I'm just trying to be a nice little blogger, keeping my mind out of the gutter, and present Rehatched in a professional and mature way, that will bring new, and hopefully lifelong customers to the store, thus making Violet and AnaB into very rich women that will be very appreciative and keep me in nice clothing for the rest of my days.
But tell me, how is that ever going to happen? How will I ever be able to be mature and professional, let alone keep my head out of the gutter, when I get things like "Leather and Lace", and "Gregg's Hard Wood" to work with? Oh, and the little hearts coming out the plant in AnaB's Sweetheart Pots? What kind of unholy union had to happen to make that come to life, anyway?

Ok, Leather and Lace is more than tempting, even when it's only textures that we're talking about. Violet's put 27 (yes, twenty-seven) amazing textures together in this package that normally costs $243L, and trust me, they will turn anything you build into a pure work of art - walls, furniture, Beanie Babies, whatever!

Gregg's Hard Wood is the second item on offer by Violet this week, and it's brand new (made, for me, so let me take all the credit for this one!). These textures have never been on sale before, and now they're available to you, this week only, for $60L.
And mmm let me tell you. I love hard wood. There's nothing quite like it. This wood does everything you need it to, anywhere you need it to. It's some of the hardest wood you'll ever see, and trust me - just looking at this hard wood will make you feel so good. So just slip this hard wood in your... well whatever you want to slip it into, and experience the pleasure of Gregg's Hard Wood.

Ok, that's out of my system now.

Now on to the mutant.
Yes, the mutant is cute. Yes, the mutant will probably look great in your window sill, and it will probably look great just about anywhere you put it.
But can we adress the fact that there are hearts growing out of a plant?

Actually, let me reassess. I don't think I want to adress this so much, at admire it. AnaB has proved herself capable of genetically merging flora and fauna. Not only has she merged them, but she's merged them so delicately that only the heart organ of the fauna is visible .

So come grab it because you like hearts, grab it because you like plants. Grab it because you admire the genetic prowess of it's creator. Grab it, because it's on sale for 60L all weekend!

So stop by Rehatched this weekend, and make sure to stop and say "hi" when you see Violet working on next week's "Latex and PVC" textures, and Ana works on her "Pretty vines with Noses Hanging off them" item.

Friday 8pm all the way through Sunday at midnight - at Rehatched!

60L Weekends - My childhood trauma!!

Yes true believers, it's that time of week again! And let me tell you something, this week, it's all about ME!

Well, maybe not, but I do know I'm loving the offers at Rehatched this week, maybe even more than last week's sparky sequins.

Scratch that. Nothing's better than sequins.

In any case, the quality of Violet's textures this week is impeccable as usual, the colours rich and warm, and there are eighteen of them! Some Floorz will add a touch of elegance to any of your builds!

Yes, any of them.

AnaB is the one bringing back traumatic memories of my childhood though. A childhood where Santa Claus never brought me that tea party set I so wanted.

I didn't have the four friends, either. Well, I had two teddy bears. They were impeccably dressed too, in frilly dresses that I would make for them out of my father's handkerchiefs (yup, he used the reusables - icky huh?). No dollies for me either. Although I always wanted a Barbie.

*sigh*

So, tomorrow, when these things go on sale at 8pm, I'll be the first one in line, ready to get Tea Time Party.

I just wonder if I can find somewhere to play with it without anyone seeing me?

Maybe I'll hide behind Rehatched. That way, you all can come have a cup of tea with me after you get your 60L$ items, from Friday 8pm through to Sunday at midnight.

See you there!

Hatched all over again for 60L$!!

Sorry about the lateness peeps, but I have a good excuse.

No, I'm not telling you what that excuse is. That's between me and my proctologist!

In any case, let's get down to business. Rehatched. 60L$ weekends. beauty and fun beyond belief. It's all there this week, just like we've come to expect and enjoy from Violet and AnaB!

I know there was an oops last week with the textures, but I'm actually kind of happy about that. It means that I get another chance to grab those sequins. I'm thinking about remaking my entire connection of furniture in glittery goodness. Good idea, don't you think?

Next on sale, just in time for Father's Day (if you're in the U.S. - if you're in Europe, you bought your dad a pair of socks a couple weeks ago) is "Daddio", a set of twelve really fun textures guaranteed to give you and your dad a whole spectrum of warm and fuzzy feelings!

Not to be outdone, AnaB brings the bedroom to us - and just in time, because I stayed up WAY too late last night and could use a nap.

Ok, I could start squealing and going "ooh", and tell you how wonderful and beautifully detailed and expertly textured this bedroom set is, but in the end, this bedroom set us just plain CUTE!

Seriously, it looks like something that my grandmother would have owned. Trust me, that's a good thing. My grandmother refinished all of her own furniture, made her own pillows and would sew quilts like nobody's business.

There's also a pack of accessories for the bedroom set - I'm seeing teddy bears, lamps, candles, a picture frame and some block letters.

I'm assuming the letters are there so I can spell my name in the evenings, so that when I wake up all groggy and stuff, then I'll at least know who I am?

So that's basically it for this week. If you're a tired father who likes to wear sequins and have trouble remembering your name before 10am, then get down to Rehatched this weekend and grab this yumminess for only 60L$!

I hope to see you there!

*Vi Cries*

My apologies for the last-minute change from Glossies 2 to the Framed texture pack. I'm working on straightening it out right now.

60L$ Weekends - Glam glam glam!

This week the girls at Rehatched™ have truly broken out of their shells (hey, less than 15 words and I made a funny! Rehatched. Shells. Get it?), and they've brought on the glam!

Now, while I have never been lucky enough to be part of the rich and overprivileged, I have fantasized about it a lot, and let me tell you--in my fantasies there are plenty of shiny things. And moonlight. And cater waiters in tight pants. But I digress.

I know Violet named this first set of twelve textures Swizzle Sticks, but we know what they really are, don't we? Sequins!!! Glitter!!!

The next shiny things up for grabs today, are...

You know, I'm sitting here, trying to represent Rehatched™, be impartial, tone my personality down so that you readers won't feel like it's about ME...and the girls give me sequins and balls. *Sigh*

Eighteen balls, to be exact. Shiny balls. Colorful balls. Let's move along now, ok?

(Glossies 2 are circular-shaped alphas, not meant to be wrapped around spheres.)

Thank heavens for AnaB. She brings the glam out into the moonlight with this beautiful Summer Arbor patio, pavilion, deck, sit-on-chairs-during-a-warm-summer-evening thingie.

Once again, beautifully textured, perfectly accessorized, and so versatile in its simplicity.

There you have it. Three quality items, all for sale for only L$60, starting on Friday at 8pm, all weekend long!

At Rehatched™.

Thursday, June 2, 2011

It's all about getting your hands dirty this weekend!

Gardeners and gardenettes, you are so so in luck this week. The 60L Weekend (starting June 3) at Rehatched™ is all for YOU.
The Bloomin set of textures, has a savings of over 55.5%. I think. Actually, I pretty much suck at math. All I know is that 135 ÷ 60 = 2.25, which divided into 100 is 44.44, and 100 - 44.44 = 55.56 which I kinda think is the sale percent. Maybe.

Oh, more math. 30, yes THIRTY textures for 60L. That's like 2L per texture. Or is it 80 % the cost of uploading your own textures?

In other words: Ooh! Pretty flowers! Holiday colors included.

So, from the flowers, to the flower babies. Well, not really babies. More like... flower fetuses (fetii?).

It's time for the Seedz!

Well, not actual seeds, because I can imagine the logistics of creating seeds that grow into flowers... well let's just say that would be on a scale somewhere at the same level as breedable horses.

And who wants pregnant pansies?

But you might want some nice packets of seeds, either to organize your garden, help you remember what you planted, or you can even hang them up as decoration if you want. The sky's ground's the limit!

AnaB's contribution to our 60L Weekend is this awesome Garden Dresser.

Rustic in style, elegant in it's simplicity, greenish in its colour, it's sure to make a welcome addition to your shed, your greenhouse, or even your rustic kitchen.

The dresser comes with everything you see in the picture, but the items aren't attached, so you can add as many or as few as you want, depending what you need, or how many prims you have available.

All in all, another fantastic set of offers from Rehatched™ this weekend starting Friday, from 8 pm SL time, all the way to midnight on Sunday. Well, Monday, kinda. Or is it?

Hope to see you there!

60L Weekends - ALREADY!!

Yes boys and girls, boys-who-are-girls, girls-who-are-boys, the undecideds, uncommitteds, and yes, even you who refuse to be defined by which skin you won in that Midnight Mania the other day (this is Second Life, after all)--it's time for another 60L Weekend, and once again, Rehatched™is bringing you yet more marked-down yumminess for your Second Life-ing pleasure!

This set of 24 (yes, 24--why do you people keep making me repeat myself?) beautiful Batik textures is perfect for fabric, walls, upholstery and MORE (although you might want to be careful when texturing your hair with it. Trust me on this one, ok?).

Next up, we have one of my favorite things in the entire world. Dots. Lots of dots. I would even go as far as saying... polka dots.

Well, ok. The girls at Rehatched™call them "I C Spots", but really? We all know they're polka dots, so nyah!

OH! I forgot to mention - there are 20 (yes, 20 already!) of them. Seriously? 20 textures for only 60L$? Is that even legal?
Ok, last, but oh so not least, is AnaB's contribution to the weekend wonderfulness. How do I know it's AnaB, you ask? It's written on the image, you silly.

Three beautiful Topiaries (that's Swahili for "really pretty trees that look like electric nail files") that will look fabulous in your garden, your park, the entrance to your home... let's face it. They look just plain fabulous.

I cannot, however, recommend wearing one on your head when you go clubbing at that quaint little goth place. People will look at you funny.

In any case, hope to see you down at Rehatched™this weekend, buying these, and many, many more examples of yummy goodness that the girls stock on their shelves.

Remember, it all starts Friday at 8pm slt and goes through Sunday midnight, at Rehatched™

L$60 Weekends -- Let the Party Begin!

Yes, peeps, it's that time of week again - In just a few hours Rehatched will be putting more wonderful textures n' things on sale for you.

And let me tell you, this is a sale that you do NOT want to miss!

The first item up for sale is Toz, a wonderful collection of 45 full-perm textures -- yes, you heard me right -- forty-five full perm textures that you can use in your boomers, your poofers, your zoomers and, even in your bloomers. Ok, I made those last two things up, but basically, when it's full perm, you can use them to build anything you want.

Personally, I'm looking forward to getting all the animal paws. They're going to look FABULOUS in my builds. Now I just have to figure out what to make with them :o)

The next item on the list is Celebrate, a set of nine full-perm textures that nobody should ever be without, whether you're a builder or not.

Nine wonderful banners for almost every occasion. They're really great for decorating that rez day, birthday, or whatever-party-you-want-to-have day.

I'm just not sure about the "It's a Boy!" or "It's a Girl!" banners. I mean, I already know I'm a boy, so... why would I need a banner to remind me
about it? Or is there something I'm just not understanding here?

The final item available this week is something that would be beautiful in any garden. The .:AnaB:. Garden Trellis was made with a LOT of love and a lot of care. Available in blue, purple, or natural.

You can use it to decorate your garden. You can put it in your walkway. You can also put it in your living room if you want, but I'm not sure you need your dogs sniffing about there. They might get ideas. Not good ideas either.

In any case. There you have it. Three fantastical items, one little price.

So stop by Rehatched, Make sure you say 'hi' to Violet and Ana while you're there, and have a great weekend!!

The Good Eggs

Beginning this month, we will shine the spotlight on one of our loyal customers. Look to this space to read the who-what-when-where of what these fabulously creative people do. We start our series with Thaihiti Baroque, of Thaino Designs. Be sure to visit her shop on the west side of our parcel. You can take the teleporter directly to her great creations.

Hello, Thaihiti! Tell me a little about yourself and what you do!
When Thaino Designs was "born" I knew where I wanted to go with it, knew what I wanted to create, but it was in my head. I found it hard to create it for real. I loved playing with textures but hated building. I found it difficult and time consuming while all I wanted to do was make things look pretty. However, I became so excited about buying new textures that I needed to build fab things to try them out on. That made me keep trying.

Now, when i look back at what I made in the early years, I cringe! Sculpties were far and few between and I was making square sofas. In fact, everything was some form of a square. I rented my first shop and sold quite a few "square" items. This inspired me to keep going and become better and more knowledgeable about shapes and what could be done with them.

I finally feel I've gotten to where I want to be, making vintage, shabby chic items that are ok! Although I'm still stunned when people buy from me and that little voice inside my head thinks, "Is my stuff good enough to be sold?"

Do you have a business partner?
I started Thaino Designs with my RL/SL boyfriend Rhino. That is how Thaino Designs got its name...a mix of Thaihiti and Rhino. I have now been running Thaino Designs for the last two years on my own. Rhino is no longer in SL and is no longer my RL boyfriend, though we still are good friends, and meet for coffee. So it's not a sad story :)

So how long have you been in business?
Thaino Designs was started in 2007. In 2009 I took a year's break from SL, but I still kept my shop open. I came back in 2010 with a new outlook and enough "oomph" to get creative. I completely wiped my stock clean and began again, or at least redesigned what I already had.
It did take me a while to even remember how to rez and move a simple box! It was like starting all over again, which was a good thing as it made me reassess what I had made in the past.

What drew you to Second Life?
I read an article in some women's magazine about SL and thought I would take a look at it. I was fortunate because when I arrived I met some amazing people who took me under their wings and helped me. I was hooked within days.

What led you to opening a business?
Having gotten my own little house in SL, I couldn't afford to buy very much furniture. That was back in the days of camping for 1L$ every 10 minutes, which I wasted away doing, not knowing any better! I did gather lots of freebie things, but they weren't what I wanted. That's when I started creating my own furniture. I got a buzz from it, even though the building part of it frustrated me! Friends started asking if they could have a copy of what i was making, and that spurred me on to thinking, "What if..."

How did you find :Rehatched: and how do you use their products?
Being a total texture freak verging on obsessesion is what led to me to Rehatched.

What does the future have in store for your business?
I take each day as it comes. Every day I seem to come up with a new idea, usually as I'm in bed drifting off to sleep. Lack of time and lack of prims are my enemies! I just enjoy making and creating and hope that people love my work.

Thank you very much Thaihiti, and good luck with Thaino Designs!
